Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.
Not-Safe dot Kickstarter [ May 6, 2024 ]
The big news this week is that Scott is preparing to launch a Kickstarter for his other comic, the very much NSFW Not-Safe.Space.
This over-sized (8.5 x 11-inch), 48 page book contains Chapter 1 of this naughty sci-fi spin-off, featuring Eithne Lamdagan, who happens to be Alyss Roaz' 7th-great granddaughter, in case you didn't know.
The story picks up roughly 2 years after QUANTUM VIBE: Assimulation left off, as Eithne and her K'Tagon boyfriend Ralff, wander through the Galaxy of the Gamer Godz, playing as the CUSH Queen, working to re-balance a real-life RPG that her travelling companion Hugo Galvez left in a bit of a mess.
Only instead of Eithne's CUSH turning people into techno-zombies, as the Godz originally intended, Eithne wants to make them techno-Succubi/Incubi, spreading what she calls an "Erogene" factor rendering them too busy making love, to make war. And of course, Eithne gets wrapped up in her work.

Panel 1Nicole and Rando in Rando's bed -- under sheets, spooning in post-coital glow. We see an alarm clock on Rando's nightstand showing the time: 01:25.

Same shot, now they're lying back to back, sleeping soundly. Alarm clock reads 02:45

Same shot. Rando is no longer in the bed, while Nicole continues sleeping. Alarm clock reads 03:35.

Same shot, Nicole's eyes are open, looking sideways toward where she's expecting to see Rando.
Nicole: {sniff}

Clad in a bedsheet hastily wrapped around her, Nicole ventures out the bedroom door, into the darkened hallway. She hears Rando speaking from close-by.
Rando (indistinctly): yah-yah, shes heer, thas y we gotta keep dis short an sweet.
Panel 6
Nicole slides in next to the open door to Rando's home office, eavesdropping.
Rando: I TOLD U DIS WUD TAEK SUM TIEM.
Rando: SHE IZ TRUSTIN ME NAO BUT DISLIKEZ TALKIN BOUT HER BOS.
Panel 7
Inside the office, dressed in a bathrobe, Rando's in a video-call with someone who looks like Bill Clinton. We can see the words 'QUIET MODE' on the screen.
Rando: NEEDZ 2 MOAR DAIS. THARS LOT OV RESISTANCE 2 BREAK DOWN HER.
Rando: I UNNERSTAN.

Nicole is still listening beside the door, but her face and hair show rage.
Rando: I GARINTEE ILL GIT UNDR DIS GURLS SKIN.
