A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various

Nicole relaxes out of her fetal pose, recovering her composure.
Nicole: I … I guess you're right. I'm committed now, gotta see this through.
Murphy: That's my girl.
Murphy backs up a bit, but is still solicitous. She has Nicole's attention.
Murphy: So, it's 125 days to 19521 Chaos, you know.
Murphy: I packed a flask of your favorite chocolate whisky in my rucksack.
Nicole and Murphy.
Murphy: How about I fix you a drink and then you can climb into the hibernation bed?
Murphy: I'll mind the store …
Nicole: I'll take the drink, but not the sleep.
Nicole moves back to her couch, slipping her arms and ankles through the straps.
Nicole: If something goes wrong I want to see it coming.
Murphy: Nothing is going to go wrong. All systems are functioning at 100 percent.
Murphy: Nothing can come at us that I won't see coming from a long way out.
Nicole is stubborn, Murphy moves to exit the lounge.
Nicole: Maybe later. I'm staying here now.
Murphy: Suit yourself. I'll be right back with your drink.
In the lounge, Nicole sips on her drink, Murphy has returned to her couch and rests quietly, eyes closed.
Same shot. Nicole's empty drink cup floats close-by, Nicole is looking seriously bored. She doesn't notice as Murphy peers at her through one eye.
Nicole and Murphy both begin moving away from their couches.
Nicole: All right, I've had about as much of this as I can stand.
Murphy: I'll prepare the hibernation bed.
