Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1
Nicole relaxes out of her fetal pose, recovering her composure.
Nicole: I … I guess you're right. I'm committed now, gotta see this through.
Murphy: That's my girl.
Panel 2
Murphy backs up a bit, but is still solicitous. She has Nicole's attention.
Murphy: So, it's 125 days to 19521 Chaos, you know.
Murphy: I packed a flask of your favorite chocolate whisky in my rucksack.
Panel 3
Nicole and Murphy.
Murphy: How about I fix you a drink and then you can climb into the hibernation bed?
Murphy: I'll mind the store …
Nicole: I'll take the drink, but not the sleep.
Panel 4
Nicole moves back to her couch, slipping her arms and ankles through the straps.
Nicole: If something goes wrong I want to see it coming.
Murphy: Nothing is going to go wrong. All systems are functioning at 100 percent.
Murphy: Nothing can come at us that I won't see coming from a long way out.
Panel 5
Nicole is stubborn, Murphy moves to exit the lounge.
Nicole: Maybe later. I'm staying here now.
Murphy: Suit yourself. I'll be right back with your drink.
Panel 6
In the lounge, Nicole sips on her drink, Murphy has returned to her couch and rests quietly, eyes closed.
No dialog.
Panel 7
Same shot. Nicole's empty drink cup floats close-by, Nicole is looking seriously bored. She doesn't notice as Murphy peers at her through one eye.
Nicole: {sigh}
Panel 8
Nicole and Murphy both begin moving away from their couches.
Nicole: All right, I've had about as much of this as I can stand.
Murphy: I'll prepare the hibernation bed.
