Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1
In the history (Foot's) classroom, the students are coming in. Zander and Bok find Diana sitting in the spot formerly occupied by Sofia, and Sofia takes the spot formerly occupied by Diana.
Diana: I hope you don't mind sitting next to me, Bok.
Bok: Not at all, Diana.
Panel 2
Zander, Bok, Diana.
Diana: I mean, don't take this to signal I want to be your girlfriend. I don't ...
Bok: It's fine. I'm not looking for romance now, anyway.
Diana: 'Going your own way,' are you?
Bok: Well, not exactly.
Panel 3
Bok leans back, placing his arms behind both Zander and Diana. All smiles. In the right front we see Ophelia rolling her eyes.
Bok: I still want, still need, friends.
Bok: And with friends, character and intelligence matter more than anything else.
Ophelia: They're a bunch of characters, all right.
