Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

(There are still six of you who have not responded to the survey asking for e-mail and snail-mail addresses, he'll do the best he can.)
Panel 1
Nicole is still in her hotel room, now she has her Screen at about 15x25 cm size, viewing a message from a friend – Gary Fox. She is smiling. An inset panel shows us who it is.
Fox (from the Screen): Hiya, Nicki, just got done with a job dropping supplies at a remote mining station and thought I'd drop you a line.
Panel 2
Looking at Nicole, her eyes going wide.
Gary: We didn't get to tell you about your Sun-Shooter jacket. It's more than just stylish.
Gary: It transforms into a fully-functional environment suit.
Panel 3
Looking over Nicole's shoulder at Gary, demonstrating the jacket.
Gary: Just touch the right-side lapel over to the badge on the left, and in three seconds, you are suited-up.
Gary: To change back, tap the center-plate on your collar 3 times in one second.
Panel 4
Looking at Nicole again, looking really annoyed.
Gary: I guess this information would've been handy when your room got vacuumed, huh?
Gary: Glad to know you survived that business just the same.
