To boldly go where no manic pixie dream girl has gone before.
Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1
On board the alien starship, Hugo continues the tour guided by Captain Pbbbbbbbt and the entourage. They look in on a room full of aliens, seated in groups at long tables. There is a distinct division between the females and the males.
CP: This is one of three meal halls.
CP: It is shared by officers and non-coms. The second is also shared.
CP: A third, much smaller, is for senior officers and special guests only.
Panel 2
Hugo looks out over the room, with CP beside him.
Hugo: The room is shared but ...
Hugo: Well, if I'm correct about your gender morphology, there isn't much mixing between the females and the males in this shared space.
Panel 3
Medium shot of Hugo, CP and the entourage.
CP: Discipline requires limiting social interaction between the officers and the non-coms.
Hugo: You mean, between the female officers and the male non-coms.
CP: We all eat the same food. We are quite progressive, you know.
Panel 4
Hugo and the entourage continue down a corridor.
Hugo: Does this … social arrangement reflect your society in general?
CP: It is the natural way of things. Females are more intelligent; males are physically stronger.
CP: By emphasizing the strengths of each gender we maximize fulfillment for all.
Panel 5
Hugo falls silent and CP notices the change in his demeanor.
Hugo: ...
CP: I am sorry, did I use words not in your translator matrix?
CP: I am not sure how I can express the concept more simply.
Panel 6
The group continues down the corridor. Hugo has a dark expression.
Hugo: Oh no, I understand your words.
Hugo: It's your concept I'm having difficulty with.
CP: I understand that you are modeled on the males of your species, so this is to be expected.
