A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1On the bridge of Pbbttppbt-fff, the Captain and his two ranking officers.
Officer 1 (translated): The first raider's power is down to 3 percent and dropping!
Officer 2: The second raider is warping out of orbit!
CP: I wish we could do the same, but there are lives on that freighter.
Panel 2
Another 3-shot of CP and his bridge officers.
CP: Position us between the Pffbbtt-Btt and that raider! Full power to the shields!
CP: When their anti-matter containment fails, we may all need rescuing!
Officer 2: The first raider is dumping her power core!
Panel 3
Exterior shot as Pbbttppbt-fff makes her stand next to the freighter.
CP (from ship): Send a general warning to ground and Causa Sui! When that ship blows, radiation will be off the scale!
Officer 2: Ma'am, the Causa Sui isn't moving away.
CP: Didn't those fools hear our warning?

Back on the bridge, CP and her officers.
Officer 1: Causa Sui has acknowledged our broadcast.
Officer 2: Captain ... the raider's power core has … disappeared.
CP: What? How?

Caption: Eleven seconds later:
Officer 1 (from ship): Sir … anti-matter explosion detected, at 282 mark 31.
Officer 1: Distance … 1.3 mega-measures!
Officer 2: Incoming message from Causa Sui ...

CP: On screen.
Murphy (translated): I would very much like to have my officer returned, if it's not too much trouble.
