To boldly go where no manic pixie dream girl has gone before.
Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.
Kickstarter Success! [ May 13, 2025 ]
The Not-Safe-Space 2 Kickstarter Campaign has ended successfully. Thanks to all who pledged!
Now we get to wait 2 weeks while Kickstarter transmits the funds, and Scott can order the books, and send surveys to backers to get current e-mail addresses for the .PDF versions and mailing addresses for the physical books.
Panel 1
In the same room, a large panel on that broad wall moves down to reveal a wide window. Through it we see part of the planet and an expanse of stars.
Hugo: This is our observation deck, the only place we can directly view outside the ship.
Hugo: With your permission we will now demonstrate our hyperspace slipstream drive.
Panel 2
Three-shot of Murphy, Hugo and CP. Hugo is smiling wryly.
Hugo: I recommend you inform your crew that we will be taking a quick jaunt outside this star-system.
Hugo: After all, we would not want to alarm them by suddenly disappearing. We shall return within 1,000 seconds.
CP: Point taken.
Panel 3
CP turns away and touches the large badge on her chest, as Murphy and Hugo glance at one another. Murphy looks worried, while Hugo is all confidence.
CP: Pbbbbbbbt to Pbbttppbt-fff.
Badge: Yes, Captain?
CP: Our friends are going to demonstrate their star-drive for me. Just a brief jaunt, I'm told.
CP: Continue your duties in the meantime.
CP (sotto voce): And monitor our departure closely.
