To boldly go where no manic pixie dream girl has gone before.
Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1
Cut to the 'present' exterior of Alyss' house in Oz. (Because we haven't seen it for some time)
Alyss (from house): Waitaminute. My grand-daughter's not still in that jail, is she?
Hugo (from house): Oh no, we didn't abandon her!
Murphy (from house): By the time we were ready to leave, she, well ...
Panel 2
Alyss, getting exasperated, presses the matter.
Alyss: But you said she's still alive, right?
Hugo: At the time we left, yes.
Alyss: Then why didn't she return with you?
Panel 3
Hugo and Murphy try to calm Alyss.
Hugo: Eithne chose to stay of her own volition.
Murphy: As to her reasons, well, it's complicated, and a bit incredible.
Murphy: Please bear with us.
