To boldly go where no manic pixie dream girl has gone before.
Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1
Hugo is walking onto the Command Deck; Murphy glances over at him.
Hugo: Anything else happen?
Murphy: I think they tried to send a trans-mat beam at us, but our shields stopped it.
Murphy: Have you re-assembled the drive already?
Panel 2
Hugo and Murphy, looking at the viewscreen.
Hugo: No. Just organized and packed away the parts for later.
Hugo: I wonder why they haven't hailed us?
Murphy: They have scanned us, and finding no biological sapients aboard, might think we're some sort of derelict craft.
Panel 3
External view of Causa Sui and the alien ship, now very close.
Hugo (from CS): Have you scanned them?
Murphy (from CS): I thought that might antagonize them, Hugo.
Murphy: Well, except for our power signature and shields.
Panel 4
Hugo starts to argue with Murphy but is distracted by a new event.
Hugo: I see no advantage to … what's that?
Murphy: Now they're hailing us … I think.
Hugo: Interesting. Not the same formatting as the video transmissions from the Fftpplt ship.
Panel 5
Hugo and Murphy.
Hugo: It's more like they're trying to communicate with a ship's computer.
Hugo: Trying to access its command interface.
Murphy: Well, that's not very friendly.
Panel 6
Hugo and Murphy
Hugo: Well, if they think we're a derelict, un-manned ship ...
Hugo: Let's hail them. Send a video signal and see what happens.
Murphy: What if we don't like what happens?
