A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1Eithne is sitting up in her bunk, looking rode hard and put up wet. Daytime lighting.
Caption: The middle of the next day cycle:
Eithne (thought): My everything hurts ...
Eithne (thought): … but I don't want to sleep this day away.
Panel 2
Eithne enters the commons area. Ralf is standing next to one of the gaming tables, with two other aliens. He turns to look at her limp-walking in.
Eithne (thought): I gotta get my spit together.
Eithne (thought): How long has it been since I've eaten?
Eithne (thought): Good. No line at the dispensary.

Eithne walks on by Ralf without noticing him. Ralf after her with some alarm.
Eithne (thought): Gads, I hadn't realized how hungry I am.
Eithne (thought): I never thought that I'd ever look forward to eating the crat they serve here.
