Quantum Vibe

A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Transcript For Strip 1628

Panel 1
Hugo is standing by the Transwarp unit as Krasp walks up.
Krasp: That was the strangest thing … I couldn't find any fault in the hardware or software.
Krasp: It was as if the containment field 'burped' of its own accord.
Hugo: Unfortunately I'm not supposed to do any work without your presence.
Panel 2
Hugo and Krasp continue working as Shlack comes up again.
Krasp: That order from Shlack is slowing us down, but I understand his concern.
Hugo: Not unreasonable. At any rate ...
Shlack: Doctor Galvéz, your captain has now been away for 3 thousand seconds!
Panel 3
Shlack and Krasp react to the intercom alarm.
Hugo: That's odd, have you ...
Intercom (electronic): Mister Krasp! The starboard shield emitter is failing!
Krasp: Oh, crap on a stick -!
