A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1Hugo and Krasp are hard at work on the Transwarp unit.
Hugo: No, the five-prong plug goes into the lower-left six-hole receptacle.
Krasp: Why does the receptacle have six holes?
Hugo: There's another plug for that hole. Make sure you orient the 5-prong correctly.
Panel 2
Hugo and Krasp look up as Shlack approaches.
Shlack: My patience is at an end, Galvéz! Your partner has not returned in 12 kiloseconds now and is not responding to our hails.
Hugo: That does seem like a rather long time. I should go over and find out what's keeping her.
Panel 3
Shlack doesn't see Murphy approaching behind him, pushing a cart full of gear.
Shlack: Oh, no you don't. I have a better idea. I'll go deal with your captain myself!
Murphy: Why would you do that? I'm right here.
