A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Transcript For Strip 1634
Panel 1Hugo and Murphy find themselves in a space completely composed of conduits crossing each other at 90 degree angles. All very gray and utilitarian, at once chaotic and hyper-orderly.
Murphy: Is that what transmatting is like? I hate it.
Hugo: We must be aboard the CUSH ship.
Hugo: If so, we're in very grave danger.
Panel 2
They begin walking along a corridor.
Murphy: What sort of danger?
Hugo: Aside from now being completely cut off from Causa Sui?
Murphy: How about a hive of robo-zombies?

A large group of CUSH-zombies are approaching from down the corridor.
Hugo: What?
Hugo: Oh.
