Creepy moves in darkness dares discovery.
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Scott's home and studio were without electric power for three days after the freak winter ice/snow storm hit Texas last week. That plus needing a day to recover and recuperate has eaten up his buffer of strips and put him a week behind schedule. We regret that a one-week pause in uploads is unfortunately necessary.
Juan enters the office holding a small box like it's a prize. Diana, intently working at her desk, barely notices him.
Juan: Diana, I've got the goods! Let me get it cleaned off and we can see what we got.
In Juan's office, Diana is leaning against the case to the left of the door as Juan has his desk station running.
Diana: Anything useful so far?
Juan: Let's see … Hayami usually had her maintenance done at ...
Diana: Perez & Sons Arti-Salon.
Juan: How'd you know?
Another angle on Diana and Juan. Diana is starting to look amused; Juan starting to look chagrined.
Diana: Just poking around in the Redes. What else?
Juan: Ah … her agency had previously sent her to do security work for ...
Diana: Lauren Wodenhaus deClayre, Jorge Wickberg, and Lev Razen.
Juan pushes back from his desk, gestures towards the holoscreen.
Diana: Also, she was an avid esmagabol player, rated a '7' in the amateur rankings.
Juan: Well, fuck me. How about you just take a look at this and tell me if there's anything you don't already know?
Diana: I'm sure there must be something.
