Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.
Kickstarter successful and closed [ May 19, 2026 ]
The Kickstarter campaign for Not-Safe.Space Chapter 3 concluded successfully on April 21, and Scott extended the time allowed for late pledges until May 19.
Books have been ordered from the printer and Scott will be spending the next week or so setting up and sending the PDF files to those who asked for them.
(There are still six of you who have not responded to the survey asking for e-mail and snail-mail addresses, he'll do the best he can.)
Panel 1
Diana is in a hotel room, asleep in bed. Her anysuit is draped over a chair near the bed.
Caption: I wasn't thinking about Juan when I finally got to a hotel room. I just crashed.
Caption: I slept for half a day – a solid 10 hours, I think.
Panel 2
Diana is leaning over the washroom link, looking at herself in the mirror. Wearing panties only. Her hair is a mess but she no longer has that beat-to-death look in her eyes. To one side of the sink, a panel in the wall has opened revealing a collection of bottles, tubes, toothbrushes and make-up gear.
Caption: The sleep did me good, but I needed personal-care products. Fortunately this hotel dispensed what I required directly in the room smartwaiter.
Caption: The room rate was reasonable, too. I'll need to remember that place next time I go on the lam.
Panel 3
Diana is putting on her anysuit. We can see her coat laid across the bed.
Caption: Part of me wanted just take my flyer and the money I had and just disappear. It wouldn't have been difficult.
Caption: But I had accepted the job and I didn't want to be a cut-and-runner.
Panel 4
Diana, with her flyer-case, is walking out the entrance to the hotel. (Important: she's wearing the same necklace with a large central gem we saw her wearing in strips 59 and 60.)
Caption: I contacted Smith & Holder and told them about my apartment being raided. I didn't mention Gyeon-Hoon or Areum.
Caption: That way while they were looking for me there I'd head over to Juan's office and see if I could find some way to reach him.
