Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.
Kickstarter successful and closed [ May 19, 2026 ]
The Kickstarter campaign for Not-Safe.Space Chapter 3 concluded successfully on April 21, and Scott extended the time allowed for late pledges until May 19.
Books have been ordered from the printer and Scott will be spending the next week or so setting up and sending the PDF files to those who asked for them.
(There are still six of you who have not responded to the survey asking for e-mail and snail-mail addresses, he'll do the best he can.)
Panel 1
Diana is still looking down at the sarcophagus. Include the bodyguards and the snake.
Diana: The thing is … I'm not sure what to do at this point.
Diana: Part of me is saying, this is too deep, too dangerous, time to cut and run.
Diana: Another part is saying, whoever did this must be held to account.
Panel 2
Diana, Wook, Areum
Diana: And if I don't do something, who will?
Areum: For all we know, it may already be too late to 'cut and run' as you put it.
Diana: That's … thanks for that, Areum.
Panel 3
Diana, Wook, Areum
Diana: Well, my esteemed client is supposed to be returning tomorrow.
Diana: I'll send her my report, see what she says.
Diana: I just wish I could know how Juan's recovery is doing.
Panel 4
Diana, Wook, Areum turn to look past Montoya at Nurse Ienil as she enters. She's an Elf, a bit on the short side. Imagine a youngish Irene Ryan or Velma Ritter.
Montoya: Unfortunately I do not have access to current patient information.
Nurse Ienil: You're damn right, you don't.
Ienil: I'm Nurse Ienil, the head nurse on this floor, and visiting hours are over. Get out.
