Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.
Kickstarter successful and closed [ May 19, 2026 ]
The Kickstarter campaign for Not-Safe.Space Chapter 3 concluded successfully on April 21, and Scott extended the time allowed for late pledges until May 19.
Books have been ordered from the printer and Scott will be spending the next week or so setting up and sending the PDF files to those who asked for them.
(There are still six of you who have not responded to the survey asking for e-mail and snail-mail addresses, he'll do the best he can.)
Panel 1
The super-flyer hovers within the dark chamber. There is no visible exit.
Diana: Are we trapped in here? I don't see another door.
Dong: Oh! I forgot to de-activate the, ah, masking thingamajiggy.
Dong: The whole building is shielded, and they will want to scan us.
Panel 2
In the cabin again:
Diana: How long is this going to take? This chamber is creepy as feek.
Dong: No doubt we were admitted by hirelingsand The Mechanic is only now being informed of our arrival.
Diana: Seriously?
Panel 3
A new door opens ahead and to the port side of the flyer.
Dong: The left door, of course. They have detected our tracking devices.
Dong: Areum, proceed slowly through that doorway.
Diana: I gotta respect this Mechanic's proper level of paranoia.
Panel 4
Beyond that door is a large room full of crates, a couple of other vehicles, and three individuals, two carrying heavy weaponry. The third, a heavy-set (but also muscular) woman, stands between the other two, watching Diana's flyer settle to the floor.
Diana: Who is that? The Mechanic?
Dong: Good guess. Whatever you do, don't remark on her size.
Diana: Oh, of course not. I love fatties.
