Quantum Vibe

A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Quantum Vibe: Château Périlleux Now On KIndle & DriveThru [ Nov 2, 2020 ]

Quantum Vibe: Château Périlleux, by Scott Bieser now on sale direct from Big Head Press.

The hiatus is over, but now's still a good time to go back and read the previous volume of QUANTUM VIBE: Château Périlleux. Now available in digital format on Kindle and Drive Thru Comics!

QUANTUM VIBE: Château Périlleux asks how does a society without a formal government deal with crime and criminal conspiracies? In the far-future space-city known as Bubbleopolis, they do it with a mixture of wit, grit, and a culture based on rolling up one's sleeves and doing what must be done. Diana Martelli, a recent arrival, likes to call it compassionate individualism. And speaking of, young Diana is tasked with finding out who killed a supposedly un-killable android -- and uncovers a conspiracy which shakes the very foundations of the city and its culture.

As a bonus, we've added sixteen pages of "The Trial", a supplement to "Château Périlleux" which was not included in the printed version. Enjoy!

Transcript For Strip 1864

Panel 1
Two-shot of Porcupine and Diana frame to include her arm with the cast on it. Show Areum in the background.
Monty: Now, what about that arm?
Diana: The Mechanic that Gyeon-Hoon took us to detected a tracker that had been inserted into my broken bone when I sought refuge at Lorelei deClayer's mansion.
Diana: She was gracious enough to remove it for me. Right there, in a little room next to her garage.
Panel 2
The Porcupine has glided over to a storage cabinet where he is pulling out some gadgets. Diana in the background.
Monty: That is a scandalous charge to make against a Pillar of the City.
Monty: Will this Mechanic person corroborate your story?
Diana: Um, well, I guess she could, but there's a complication there ...

Panel 3
Switch angles so that the Porcupine is in the background.
Monty: What sort of complication?
Diana: This Mechanic has her shop in, ah, Pandemonium.
Monty: Pandemonium! Why in the flying farkle would you go there?
Panel 4
Alyss Roaz standing in the doorway.
Alyss: That's a good question, Monty.
Alyss: Also why did you seek refuge with deClayre?
Alyss: And why did you get into a scrap with Smith & Holder?
Alyss: And how do you figure going on Tchaikowski's net-stream squares with running a
confidential investigation?
