Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1
Diana and Areum are standing at the restaurant entrance. They're dealing with a maitre d'.
Caption: Despite being 'open air' this restaurant is a fairly exclusive membership club.
Caption: Fortunately Alyss gave me a pass-key as a 'honored guest.'
Caption: Meaning, Alyss was guaranteeing my good behavior.
Panel 2
Establishing shot of Jorge Wickberg 'holding court.' Appearing as a portly, middle-aged man with a half-beard, he's sitting in an overstuffed chair flanked by four attractive women, one of whom is hand-feeding him grapes. He has a goblet in one hand and a cigar in the other. A gaggle of plebians is gathered around him and his girls.
Caption: Wickberg as not difficult to locate.
Caption: I would not be surprised to see someone like him being carried around on a palanquin.
Caption: Such an ostentatious display must be expensive, even here.
Panel 3
Diana, with Areum close behind, attempts to push through the throng surrounding Wickberg. One of the plebians objects, and puts a palm against her shoulder to restrain her.
Caption: But I didn't have all day to talk, so:
Diana: Excuse me, I need to ask ...
Plebian: Hey, no pushing! Wait your turn like the rest of us!
Panel 4
Areum has quickly moved in and caught the objecting plebian in a painful wrist-lock. The others stand back as Diana moves forward.
Plebian: Awk!
Diana: Sorry, friend. I only have a few questions for Sr. Wickberg.
Diana: I'm sure you'll get your chance to tell him all about your cool game idea soon.
