Dark plans fall like thunderbolts.
Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.
Kickstarter successful and closed [ May 19, 2026 ]
The Kickstarter campaign for Not-Safe.Space Chapter 3 concluded successfully on April 21, and Scott extended the time allowed for late pledges until May 19.
Books have been ordered from the printer and Scott will be spending the next week or so setting up and sending the PDF files to those who asked for them.
(There are still six of you who have not responded to the survey asking for e-mail and snail-mail addresses, he'll do the best he can.)
Panel 1
More chatter:
Belbenoit: There is a concern that if you are discovered to be the saboteur, investigators might trace you back to the Committee.
Belbenoit: The Committee wants this loose end tied up.
Zondra: Er, what does that mean exactly?
Panel 2
Belbenoit looks levelly at Zondra, who is looking uneasily back at him.
Belbenoit. Stern must be removed from custody and silenced, permanently.
Zondra: Er, ok, I can take care of the silencing part, but how do I bust him out of lock-up?
Panel 3
Belbenoit holds up an index finger, and Zondra sullenly holds up one of hers, a few cm away. A spark flies between them.
Belbenoit: We have someone on the inside who can get you in and out undetected.
Belbenoit: It will be up to you to persuade Stern to leave with you, so you can … ah … silence him at your convenience.
Panel 4
Belbenoit walks jauntily away from the table, as Zondra looks like she's getting a headache.
Zondra: My 'convenience,' eh? Will this be my last assignment for this project?
Belbenoit: Perhaps … if you can disappear more successfully this time.
Zondra: Now, there's an incentive to up my game.
