Quantum Vibe

A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Transcript For Strip 2118

Panel 1
A red-dwarf sun dominates a star-field. A few asteroids in view. And a small object in the center eclipsing the star.
Caption: Meanwhile, somewhere in the Andromeda Galaxy:
Panel 2
Shifting view a bit, the small object has become much larger, and angled off a bit so it no longer eclipses the star. It's still back-lit but we can recognize it's a severed head with something dangling out the bottom of the neck.

No dialog
Panel 3
The head has now tumbled into view and we can see it's Hugo, looking very put out.
Hugo (thought): This is damned inconvenient.
Panel 4
The head continues tumbling through space.
No dialog.
