A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1
Alex is sitting on his bunk again, arms crossed. Zondra has stepped into the room.
Zondra: Hey, are your ears working? I said we need to go now.
Alex: No.
Panel 2
Zondra is flummoxed.

Zondra: 'No?' Are you out of your mind?
Alex: I've done nothing wrong, I'm not running away.
Panel 3
For once Zondra is stunned into silence as Alex strikes a stubborn pose.
Alex: When that guard wakes up, you'll tell us all about who set me up and who's behind that terrorist attack on the city.
Panel 4
Zondra stuns Alex with her Zringer.
Zondra: Oh, the hell with it.
