Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.
Panel 1
Cut to: Interior of the dry-dock housing Eva Jeanne. Dialog comes from inside the ship.
Caption: At the dry-dock housing Alyss Roaz' ship, the Eva Jeanne, the next day:
Sheldon: … So eventually they formed three groups: one for boosting public morale, one for victim support, and one for light combat training and street-level intel.
Alyss: We need better strategies for dealing with saboteurs.
Panel 2
Alyss is at her workstation aboard the ship, conversing with Sheldon Rico, who is on her main screen. Michael is nearby.
Sheldon: More and more I am hearing suggestions to abandon our customs regarding privacy and set up a centralized surveillance and tracking system.
Alyss: No! We must never go down that path!
Panel 3
Focus on Alyss
Alyss: In my 535 years I've seen too many once-free societies end themselves by surrendering liberty in pursuit of safety.
Alyss: They wound up with neither. New Anarkia, El Verdor, Novo México, L-5 City, The Republic of Luna, the United States of America. All gone.
Panel 4
Same scene new angle including Michael
Michael: Yeah and don't forget Galt's Planetoid.
Alyss (to Michael): You promised not to mention Galt's Planetoid again.
