Dark plans fall like thunderbolts.
Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

(There are still six of you who have not responded to the survey asking for e-mail and snail-mail addresses, he'll do the best he can.)
Panel 1
New Scene: Otto at home, sitting at a kitchen breakfast table and looking distraught. Lorelei notices him.
Caption: Not long afterward, at the DeCleyre home:
Otto (muttering): But it can't be her. But she called my name. But it can't be her. But she asked about Monty. But it can't be her.
Panel 2
Lorelei comes over and lays a protective arm across his shoulder. But, he looks away.
Lorelei: Relaxa! Who can't be her, Otto?
Otto: Oh, you don't want to hear about it, you've told me enough times already.
Panel 3
Lorelei takes a seat at the table next to Otto. He's still avoiding her gaze.
Lorelei: I know I've been hard to live with lately, but times are rough for everybody.
Lorelei: Please talk to me, mi Primo Lindo!
Otto: {sigh} It concerns Diana.
Panel 4
Lorelei is suddenly very interested, which is not what Otto expected.
Lorelei: Oh, really? Diana? What happened?
Otto: No eye-roll. You're really interested?
Otto: Or have you upped your sarcasm game?
