Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1
Cut to: Li in negotiation with two managerial types looking over a large holo-diagram in the center of a round table. Li speaks from a cameo.
Li: I was good at scrounging resources and setting up deals, arranging supply chains.
Li: I had spent more than 300 years establishing the needed contacts.
Panel 2
Now Li is conferring with two other floor-manager types at some factory. Large machinery in the background.
Caption: ‘I traded Yttrium and Dysprosium for Neodymium and pig iron for the ferro-fabber who used some of it to make updated machinery for the farmers on other worlds still willing to sell food to us.’
Panel 3
In some concourse, Li is confronted by a needle-nosed fellow in dark clothes. Li is noticing that two very wide-shouldered men dressed similarly have come up behind him.
Caption: ‘By and by my efforts came to the attention of the enemy.’
Needle-nose (quietly, small letters): Your presence is requested.
Panel 4
Needle-nose leads Li down a corridor, with the two enforcers close behind.
Caption: ‘I’ve gotten out of much hairier situations before, and since.
Caption: ‘But this was my chance to probe the enemy for weaknesses.’
