A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1On a city street, Li is walking away from the two enforcers, who are watching him depart.
Caption: ‘Li didn’t know about ALL of our assets, but I was sure Barnhill didn’t show all of his, either.
Caption: ‘Just enough to make his case. I was convinced the city would indeed fall.’
Panel 2
Now Li is home, with Alyss. She is shocked by what he’s telling her.
Caption: ‘So I went home, and told Alyss what happened.’
Caption: ‘I told her we needed to pack up the grand-kids and take refuge.
Caption: ‘Because, of course, once the city was betrayed none of us could live there.’

Alyss is yelling furiously.
Caption: ‘I was not really prepared for the vehemence of her reaction.’
Alyss: ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR GOURDDAMNED MIND?
Alyss: WE ARE NOT GIVING IN TO SLAVERS!

Alyss so angry she’s cry-shouting. Li is simply stunned.
Alyss: You want to save our kids elsewhere?
Alyss: Fine! Go protect them. If you have the balls to even do that.
Alyss: But if you leave here now don’t even think of coming back.
