Dark plans fall like thunderbolts.
Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1
The citizens have wrestled the back-pack from the woman as a third citizen, a large, muscled, buzz-cut fellow, runs in from the right.. Jerome holds Bok back.
Woman: Get off me!
Jerome: No, wait.
Jerome: Something’s up.
Panel 2
The large bald guy has a hand-scanner out and is running it over the back-pack. Bok and Jerome approach slowly.
Large Buzzcut Guy: Okay, we found it. Neutralizing now.
Woman: You can’t do this!
LBG: We just did, Luisa.
Panel 3
Bok and Jerome now in the medium ground, looking on to the scene.
Jerome: Yeah, I thought I recognized him. Probably found another bomb.
Bok: Him who?
Jerome: Everyone calls him ‘Ro-Jo.’ He’s part of that ‘Citizen Response’ outfit we were discussing.
Panel 4
Pull back a bit, we see Ro-Jo pulling a menacing-looking gadget out of the backpack in the left foreground.
Bok: How’d they know about the backpack? They took an awful risk of an arbitration.
Jerome: They got a spy network of some kind. Deeper than Cooper Security’s, even.
Bok: I’m not sure whether this is a good thing or a bad thing.
