Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.
Kickstarter successful and closed [ May 19, 2026 ]
The Kickstarter campaign for Not-Safe.Space Chapter 3 concluded successfully on April 21, and Scott extended the time allowed for late pledges until May 19.
Books have been ordered from the printer and Scott will be spending the next week or so setting up and sending the PDF files to those who asked for them.
(There are still six of you who have not responded to the survey asking for e-mail and snail-mail addresses, he'll do the best he can.)

Panel 1The family huddles together in fear as they are surrounded by Libérateurs. Except grand-ma, who is talking to Sarge
Sarge: You are all under arrest for violating the lock-down order.
Gran-ma: We ain’t hurtin’ nobody, we just trying to get home and lockdown there.
Panel 2
Closer in on Sarge, Granma and the parents
Sarge: The lockdowns are needed for everyone’s safety, under the circumstances.
Sarge: However, we can resolve this easily and you can go home immediately if you cooperate.
Hector: What do you want us to do?
Panel 3
Sarge holds forth a smartpad so that the parents can see the contents.
Sarge: Register yourself and your family, providing address, contact code, network node, and occupation.
Sarge: Someone will be in touch if we need more information.
Panel 4
Father is starting to enter data into the tablet. Grandma looks disgusted. But Hector’s and mother’s eyes are suddenly wide as Sarge says:
Sarge: Then all you have to do is surrender any weapons you’re carrying and my squad will escort you home.
Panel 5
Mother has anticipated Hector’s next move and is holding his zringer arm downward and pleading with him.
Mother: Hector, no! Remember Comercial Beltrao!
Panel 6
Mother is sullenly handing over a pair of zringers as Hector turns away, angry but defeated.
Sarge: Thank you for your cooperation.
Sarge: Servi-Juve will be here momentarily to collect your children.
