Dark plans fall like thunderbolts.
Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Li: Wait here. I’ll be at the bar but I’ll have a drink sent your way.
William: You’re a considerate date.

Li is seated at the bar, nursing his own drink.

Li(thinks): I hope I haven’t lost my sex-appeal.
Panel 3
An attractive, glamorous young woman rolls up on Li.
Li: Well, hello th … hey, I know you. Lucy?
Lucy: Ah, the great Jesús Hernandez. I’m a little surprised you’d come back here.
Panel 4
Just then a large man rolls up on the other side of Li.
Li: Ah, I don’t think I know this guy. Is he a friend of yours?
Lucy: This is Fred. And he’s also a friend of Ricky, who wants to see you.
Lucy: Now.
Panel 5
William watches from his booth as Lucy and Fred escort Li away.
William (thoughtsend): Li -?
Li (thoughtsend): Keep your seat. I’ll be back in an hour or so.
Li: They serve food here if you get hungry.
Panel 6
William is left sitting at the booth by himself, looking a bit put off.
William (thinking): What the hell do I do NOW?
