Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.
Kickstarter successful and closed [ May 19, 2026 ]
The Kickstarter campaign for Not-Safe.Space Chapter 3 concluded successfully on April 21, and Scott extended the time allowed for late pledges until May 19.
Books have been ordered from the printer and Scott will be spending the next week or so setting up and sending the PDF files to those who asked for them.
(There are still six of you who have not responded to the survey asking for e-mail and snail-mail addresses, he'll do the best he can.)

Li: Let me put it this way … this is about honor, not money.

Ricky drops his casual demanor, now Lucy pipes up
Ricky: Oh shit, Jesús, I warned you about doing jobs for honor.
Lucy: Now you wanna be honorable?

Now Li is looking dead serious, as he leans forward.
Li: I have never cheated a client or reneged or failed to deliver on a contract.
Lucy: You may be honest in business but personally you ...
Li: And I never ‘led you on,’ either! That was all in your head.

Ricky looks thoughtful.
Ricky: Let it rest, Lucy.
Ricky: But Jesús: ‘deliver on a contract?’ You were supposed to be Montoya’s security?
Li (OP): I was supposed to shadow him, only make my presence known if he got into trouble.

Focus on Li, looking somewhat ashamed.
Li: I followed him through nine different worlds as he chased one lead after another.
Li: But then I was separated from him at a critical time, and, well ...
Li: … As you said, you saw the video.

Ricky, Li, and even Lucy raise their glasses.
Ricky: Albert Montoya was a very good man. And I lost several friends in El Gran Raio.
Ricky: I – no, we – will help you find that bitch Zondra Quirós.
Lucy: Well yeah I lost friends, too. Just don't tell Ethel.
