A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

William moves forward under Zondra's fire.
William: Perhaps we got off on the wrong foot.
William: Permit me to re-introduce myself.

Zondra from behind the table.
Zondra: I know who you are, Montoya. You chased me across a billion light-years just because I killed your daddy.
Zondra: That's the problem with you Novo Paolans...

William continues his approach as Zondra continues to fire at him.
Zondra: ... you only care about individuals. The Intergalactic Council is concerned with humanity as a whole.

Zondra: What are the million or so people we smoked in the Gran Raio compared with the five trillions across the universe? Think of what humanity co-ordinated under central guidance could accomplish!
