Dark plans fall like thunderbolts.
Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.
Kickstarter successful and closed [ May 19, 2026 ]
The Kickstarter campaign for Not-Safe.Space Chapter 3 concluded successfully on April 21, and Scott extended the time allowed for late pledges until May 19.
Books have been ordered from the printer and Scott will be spending the next week or so setting up and sending the PDF files to those who asked for them.
(There are still six of you who have not responded to the survey asking for e-mail and snail-mail addresses, he'll do the best he can.)
Panel 1
The broadcast is over. Zander has arrived, Sheldon is standing by, and Alyss speaks with them.
Alyss: Well, how did I do?
Panel 2
Zander and Bok make an Alyss sandwich.
Bok: You were magnificent.
Zander: I’m just thrilled to see you again.
Alyss: Sorry, Zander, but keeping that secret was a tactical advantage.
Panel 3
Bok, Zander and Alyss
Bok: What I don’t know is, will our people resist the temptation to settle scores?
Alyss: I don’t know, either. The current armistice could come apart otherwise.
Sheldon: I will be mobilizing counselors to discourage retributions.
Panel 4
Bok, Zander, Sheldon and Alyss
Alyss: Also, many of their exeutives have said they would be requesting asylum, so they could stay here.
Zander: Do you think that’s even possible?
Alyss: Who knows? That’ll be up to the Arbiters.
Panel 5
Bok, Zander, Sheldon and Alyss
Alyss: But Sergio has told them they would have a better case if their side sticks to the armistice.
Sheldon: The soldiers and techs, for better or for worse, are brain-locked to obey the executives.
Panel 6
Bok, Zander and Alyss
Bok: You promised we’d be returning to the 5-Star system soon. How soon?
Alyss: We’re … working on it.
