Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1
Nicole, Li and their kids are at a counter getting food and drink. Behind the counter are LaVerne and another teen-aged girl, Candace.
Alyss: By the time we woke up, LaVerne had started up the kitchen, and was serving breakfast to us, along with her daughter Candace.
Panel 2
Nicole, Alexandra, Penelope and Adila sitting in folding chairs, drinking coffee and chatting.
Alyss: It took another whole day before the water receded enough we could return home. So we filled the time getting to know each other.
Panel 3
Penelope speaks
Penelope: When my former partner Jenna and I split I sold my share of our Picochip business, and bought a homestead here. My new partner Adelaide brought her four children and we’ve been making it work.
Panel 4
Adila’s turn
Adila: I met my husband Zachary in a yoga class, 23 years ago. He worked for Spacely’s Space ships for 40 years before he decided to change careers. We do mostly ranching, raising sheep and alpacas.
Panel 5
Alexandra speaks to Nicole
Alexandra: As the others know, this is Julius and my second attempt at a homestead. The first was on New Jericho – I guess you heard about what a disaster that was.
Alexandra: We collected what reserves we had left and started again here.
Panel 6
Nicole smiles a bit nervously as she responds
Nicole: Ah … my husband Li led a successful revolution in the Jovian moons, and I co-invented the Murphy-Oresme Dicontinuous Displacement Technology.
Nicole: So I guess if it weren’t for me, none of us would be in this situation.
