Dark plans fall like thunderbolts.
Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1
Nicole and Murphy embrace, Li and Hugo shake hands.
Nicole: MURPHY! It’s been ages.
Li: Good to see you again, Doctor Hugo.
Hugo: Thanks for not hugging me.
Panel 2
Nicole looks at the hopper/out-house
Nicole: Er, is that supposed to be … an out-house?
Hugo: I thought something bucolic would blend-in on a farm.
Li: A little too bucolic, I’m afraid.
Panel 3
Hugo snaps his fingers, and suddenly the hopper has the same ‘skin’ as the house.
Hugo: Is this better?
Nicole: Considerably.
Li: But what’s with that weird sound when you arrived?
Panel 4
Hugo looks confused.
Murphy: {giggle!} I told you.
Hugo: Weird sound?
Nicole: You know, ‘wheEEeze-runp! WheEEeze-runp!’
Panel 5
Murphy with Hugo
Hugo: I wanted to stop the displacement from causing that annoying ‘pop’ from the air getting pushed out suddenly.
Hugo: At first I wanted to tweak the sub-routine to eliminate the sound, but decided I like it.
Panel 6
Pull back to show the children peeking from around the corner, as the four adults share a laugh.
Muprhy: It reminds him of something from his mis-spent youth.
Hugo: I spent my youth quite productively, I’ll have you know.
