Dark plans fall like thunderbolts.
Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

(There are still six of you who have not responded to the survey asking for e-mail and snail-mail addresses, he'll do the best he can.)
Panel 1
Nicole and Li are settling into bed.
Narration: That night:
Nicole: {sigh} I hate this stupid forkin collar.
Li: Tomorrow we can scan you again with the autodoc and see how you’ve healed.
Panel 2
Nicole lays in her back, looking annoyed. Li is looking at a tablet.
Nicole: Well, at least I got to chat with Alexandra -- she’ll pass word about our plans.
Li: The flyer is a total loss. Should I order a four-seater to replace it?
Panel 3
Nicole and Li
Nicole: Do you think we’re being too hard on Elvin?
Li: It’s not about being too hard or not, it’s about finding a settlement that everyone can live with.
Panel 4
Nicole and Li
Nicole: You know, you’ve mellowed quite a bit since … the early days.
Li: Hammering out the Belter Compact and the treaty with the Jovian moons were invaluable life-lessons.
Panel 5
Back to the present, Alyss with her grandkids.
Beatrice: Wow, Abuelo Li was quite a remarkable man.
Junko: Why don’t you like him any more, Abuela?
Panel 6
Focus on Alyss, looking a bit uncomfortable but we can see Alphonse over her shoulder, wearing a slight smile.
Alyss: That’s … a story for another time.
