A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Panel 1Nicole, Adila, Penelope, Adelaide and Jenkins
Adelaide: I had been away from the valley when the flood hit.
Adelaide: When Elvin came around with his ‘release’ I didn’t realize what it really was.
Panel 2
Focus on Adelaide:
Adelaide: I signed Penelope’s name on the release, so he’d go away.
Adelaide: I thought it wouldn’t matter, and we’d pick up a few extra Moebits.
Panel 3
Penelope:
Penelope: I was embarrassed by Adelaide’s mistake. And I didn’t want to get Adelaide in trouble.
Penelope: If this gets out it will call into question our integrity and my signature on anything.
Panel 4
Jenkins and Penelope
Jenkins: Did Senhor Elvin know that Senhora Shaw was signing for Senhora Johnson?
Adelaide: He didn’t seem to care. He just wanted to get a signature and be on his way.
Panel 5
Jenkins, Penelope, and Adelaide.
Jenkins: In that case, you can ascribe the error to Elvin, for not properly identifying the signatory.
Jenkins: But before I agree to take this case, I will need to know about any other such indiscretions you may have committed during your time here.

The women look at Jenkins uncomfortably. He’s holding the tablet towards the women.
Jenkins: Such revelations protected by attorney-client privilege, of course. I have the assignation documents ready.
