Dark plans fall like thunderbolts.
Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1
Nicole and Stephanie are back in Nicole’s home office. Stephanie’s device is on an adjacent portable table.
Alyss narrates: Stephanie and I spent several hours pouring over the sensor data and the equations, trying to figure out what went wrong.
Panel 2
Stephanie leans back in her chair, massaging her temples.
Alyss: Finally …
Stephanie: Ugh. I’m bushed, and this gravity isn’t helping.
Nicole: We can set up a bed for you, unless you’d rather sack out in your ship.
Panel 3
Stephanie stands, steadying herself on the chair.
Stephenie: Yeah, I can set the gravity in there, and seven hours of 3 mesecs sounds pretty good now.
Nicole: OK, I’ll walk out with you.
Panel 4
The two walk away from the house.
Stephanie: I haven’t seen much of Warren today …?
Nicole: He’s been really mopey lately. I suspect adolescent moodiness.
Panel 5
The two approach Stephanie’s spacecraft. About the size of a Star Trek shuttle. A few steps leading up to the door.
Stephanie: Adolescence? Does he have a girlfriend yet?
Nicole: Well … he’s got the hots for the daughter of the guy we’re going to sue.
Panel 6
Stephanie is struggling on the few steps into her ship.
Stephanie: Ooof.
Nicole: Yeah, it’s an unfortunate circumstance.
Stephanie: No, I mean help me get into my boat. I hate this gravity.
