Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.
Kickstarter successful and closed [ May 19, 2026 ]
The Kickstarter campaign for Not-Safe.Space Chapter 3 concluded successfully on April 21, and Scott extended the time allowed for late pledges until May 19.
Books have been ordered from the printer and Scott will be spending the next week or so setting up and sending the PDF files to those who asked for them.
(There are still six of you who have not responded to the survey asking for e-mail and snail-mail addresses, he'll do the best he can.)

Nicole: We're going back to L-5 City?
Seamus: Briefly. In four days there will be a high-speed liner departing for Mars, which would have been uncomfortably high-grav for me before ...

Seamus, Nicole and Buford. Seamus spreads his arms wide to show his new svelte body.
Seamus: But with my new -- ah -- sveltetude, I should be able to manage 78 days in five gravs with no trouble.
Nicole: I'm not sure I'm up to that, to tell the truth.

Seamus, Nicole and Buford stop to check their luggage next to the gateway. A large holosign announces HAUGHTY XL-5 Departing for L-5 City 15:30.
Seamus: That's why you will be getting a complete restorative physical, including two days at Aine's Spa.
Nicole: Sounds great. What about Buford?

Seamus, Nicole and Buford continue to their departure gate. Seamus flashes some tickets at a gate attendant.
Seamus: Buford will of course get a traveler's physical, and since Beltapes don't do implants I'll see if I can get her fitted with an earpiece. Will that be okay with you?
Buford: So long as I can remoof it whenefer I want to, t'at will be fine.
