Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1
Seamus stands with Nicole and Ventura at a table with an elaborate spread of finger-food. Seamus serves himself some punch from the crystalline punch bowl.
Nicole: Too bad we had a late breakfast. I'm not really hungry.
Seamus: Nor am I, but with all the talking I'll be doing I need to keep my throat fresh.
Panel 2
Nicole notices Seamus picking up a few pieces of some sort of candy.
Nicole: Better be careful with the candy. You'll get fat again.
Seamus: Nonsense. These are for later.
Panel 3
The trio begins working their way through the crowd of people.
Nicole: I feel bad that we had to ditch Buford at the door.
Seamus: Oh, she's not alone. Many of these guests have valets, bodyguards, and so forth stashed in nearby anterooms.
Panel 4
Cut to an anteroom where we see Buford at a card table playing a poker-like game with four other bodyguards (one other Beltape and three Enforcer-types. She's triumphantly showing a winning hand.
Caption (Nicole): 'Even so, I hope she isn't feeling left out.'
Buford: Three Ceos, two nines. Looks like I win again.
