Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.
Kickstarter successful and closed [ May 19, 2026 ]
The Kickstarter campaign for Not-Safe.Space Chapter 3 concluded successfully on April 21, and Scott extended the time allowed for late pledges until May 19.
Books have been ordered from the printer and Scott will be spending the next week or so setting up and sending the PDF files to those who asked for them.
(There are still six of you who have not responded to the survey asking for e-mail and snail-mail addresses, he'll do the best he can.)
Panel 1
The limo flies towards the main city.
Buford (from inside): So, what do we do now?
Nicole: We do what Seamus told us to do at breakfast ...
Panel 2
Flashback panel. Buford, Nicole, Seamus and Ventura at a breakfast table in the hotel restaurant. The first three have plates of food in front of them, Ventura has a small glass.
Seamus: Last night I looked into this Peng-Bo Shen character. He's as nasty as our friend Hanzo described him.
Nicole: Great.
Seamus: If we get separated, we can communicate via our Implants, but we'll need to be careful.
Panel 3
Nicole looks at Seamus.
Nicole: Careful? What do you mean?
Seamus: Somebody could be listening in.
Nicole: But we use an encrypted channel! State of the art!
Panel 4
Seamus leans back and chuckles, lays a fatherly hand on Nicole's shoulder. She looks back at him dubiously.
Seamus: My dear child, there is no such thing as encryption that can't be broken, if the snoop is sufficiently determined.
