Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Transcript For Strip 520
Panel 1Back at the girls' hotel room in Xin Rizhao. As with their first night on Huoxing, they are seated on the floor in a circle, empty wine cooler bottles around them. They're fairly tipsy.
Nicole: Then a week later he shows up at the apartment, like nothing happened.
Nicole: Walks right in and heads straight for the pantry.
Buford: Men are such dicks.
Panel 2
Buford and Nicole exchange glances as Ventura delivers her one-liner.
Ventura: Well, that's what they're FOR, isn't it?
Panel 3
Buford and Nicole roar with laughter as Ventura takes a triumphal swig of her wine cooler.
Buford & Nicole: BWAAA HA HA HA HA HA HA!
Panel 4
Nicole and Ventura.
Nicole: So, Ventura, y'got any good bad-boyfriend stories?
Ventura: Well, the only relationship I remember is with Po Xu-ke, and really, no complaints there ...
Panel 5
The girls are suddenly somber.
Ventura: Except of course, when he died.
Ventura: I'll never understand why he didn't go in for another rejuve.
Ventura: It's as if ... he just grew tired of living.
Panel 6
The girls react to the door chime. Buford starts to rise.
SFX: BrrDEEP-DEEP
Buford: I'll get it.
Nicole (thought): Saved by the bell.
Panel 7
Standing at the door, Buford touches a panel which makes a circle in the upper part of the door transparent. We can see Seamus (changed back to his normal clothes) standing on the other side, waiting patiently. Buford's head is turned back toward Nicole.
Buford: Hey Nicole, w-were yuh expectin' any mad scientists?
Nicole (OP): You mean Seamus? Let him in.
Panel 8
Nicole gets rather shakily to her feet as Seamus walks in, wearing a stern expression.
Nicole: Uh, hi boss, what's shakin'?
Seamus: Shit-faced or not, young lady, you have some explaining to do.
