A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1Buford excitedly enters the field of hoops, reaching for one large hoop close to the entrance.
Caption: Hoopfields are a popular recreational construction for those living in the low-gravity planetoids of the Belt.

Buford joyfully swings among the hoops. We can see a few other Beltapes (and one human) not far away, doing the same.
Caption: The hoops afford opportunity for exercise, and a palliative for feelings of confinement in enclosed environments.

Buford swings herself into a double sommersault.
Caption: For Beltapes especially, the hoops facilitate training for quick maneuvers in near-weightless conditions.
