Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.
Kickstarter successful and closed [ May 19, 2026 ]
The Kickstarter campaign for Not-Safe.Space Chapter 3 concluded successfully on April 21, and Scott extended the time allowed for late pledges until May 19.
Books have been ordered from the printer and Scott will be spending the next week or so setting up and sending the PDF files to those who asked for them.
(There are still six of you who have not responded to the survey asking for e-mail and snail-mail addresses, he'll do the best he can.)

Transcript For Strip 571
Panel 1Seamus, Nicole and Vedadi are in another room, now. A female BeltApe wearing a lab coat approaches them.
Seamus: Will it be much longer, Doctor Lakdawalla? We were told 10 minutes.
Lakdawalla: Sorry, t'e patient took a bit longer for t'e ... final polish, t'an we anticipated.
Panel 2
Everyone is looking past the reader's right shoulder as Lakdawalla gestures towards the object of their interest.
Lakdawalla: I'm sure you will agree it was time well-spent.
Panel 3
Reveal of the New Murphy. Roughly same body-shape but styled differently, hair is now red and styled differently, face is a bit different but still has a cleft chin. She's wearing a dark torsolette under a short jacket, over a translucent, short skirt, with dark panties underneath.
Murphy: Hello, my darlings. So what do you think of the new me?
Panel 4
Seamus and Nicole approach Murphy, with Vedadi bringing up the rear.
Seamus: You look as splendid as I'd hoped, my dear Murphy.
Nicole: Hey, you're even more gorgeous than before! How's a girl supposed to compete?
Panel 5
Vedadi steps forward, and bows to Murphy.
Vedadi: Ms. Murphy, I am Commander Vedadi of the S.S. El-Kady and I wish to extend my captain and crew's sincere ...
Murphy: Hold that thought, Commander ...
Panel 6
Placing her hands on Seamus' shoulders, Murphy easily lifts her face up to his in the light gravity. Seamus is unsure what to do.
Murphy: First I need to properly thank my very best friend for all he's done for me.
Panel 7
Murphy plants a big kiss on Seamus' mouth, as Nicole, Vedadi and Dr. Lakdawalla look on in a mix of amazement and glee.
SFX: {SMOOOOCH}
Panel 8
Seamus stands momentarily befuddled. Nicole and Murphy exchange girlish whispers. Vedadi and Lakdawalla are simply amused.
Seamus: I ... ah ... yes ... you're welcome?
Nicole: You remember he's engaged, right?
Murphy: Yeah, but I made him forget for just a moment.
