Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.
We Now Return You To Your Regularly Scheduled Program. [ Mar 1, 2021 ]
Texas has returned to more normal winter weather conditions, power is back on and Internet connections are working. Which means Scott has new Quantum Vibe strips ready to go this week. We appreciate everyone's understanding and patience as we emerged from hibernation.
And if you haven't already, please help us keep the lights on by buying Quantum Vibe books (in print or digital) along with any of Big Head Press's other thoughtful stories.
Panel 1
In the waiting room at the Seigesund Med Center, Nicole and Antigone are speaking with one of the medicos. He's a 'baseline' man, young-looking.
Caption: A short while later:
Medico: They'll need a couple of days' rest but they'll be fine.
Nicole: Yes! Thank you! Can we see them now?
Panel 2
The medico leads them down a hallway. Nicole can barely contain herself.
Medico: I don't see why not. I'll take you to their room.
Antigone: You're keeping them in the same room?
Panel 3
The medico, Antigone and Nicole. The women look surprised.
Medico: Well, certainly. They're married.
Medico: At least, that's what our records show.
Panel 4
The medico looks at the surprised women.
Medico: You're not from the Belt, are you?
Medico: People here tend to get legally hitched first, usually on the downlow, and then have big ceremonies later.
