Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.
Kickstarter successful and closed [ May 19, 2026 ]
The Kickstarter campaign for Not-Safe.Space Chapter 3 concluded successfully on April 21, and Scott extended the time allowed for late pledges until May 19.
Books have been ordered from the printer and Scott will be spending the next week or so setting up and sending the PDF files to those who asked for them.
(There are still six of you who have not responded to the survey asking for e-mail and snail-mail addresses, he'll do the best he can.)
Panel 1
Nicole is embarrassed by her own outburst, as Ed and Chelsea regard her scornfully. Speaks to Seamus.
Antigone: Dr. O'Murchadha, if you'll give me the location and vector data I'll forward that to my people on Ceres.
Nicole (to Ed and Chelsea): That is … I mean … we found the danger?
Seamus (to Antigone): Yes, of course.
Panel 2
Looking past Antigone at Seamus.
Seamus: I'm also forwarding the data to Skywatch Services.
Antigone: The prospector network? Do you plan to stake a claim?
Panel 3
Ed and Chelsea looking at Seamus with expressions of surprised gratitude.
Seamus: In Ed and Chelsea's names, of course.
Seamus: My wedding gift to you – whoever gets to that rock first and diverts it will by Beltlaw have to share 10 percent of its wealth with whoever located it.
Panel 4
Now Chelsea looks a bit troubled. Seamus looks back at her ruefully.
Chelsea: Wait, what about the rock-wrangler who got to it first?
Seamus: Assuming he's still alive, I should think his aiming it at Ceres should negate any claim he'd have, don't you?
