Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.
Kickstarter Success! [ May 13, 2025 ]
The Not-Safe-Space 2 Kickstarter Campaign has ended successfully. Thanks to all who pledged!
Now we get to wait 2 weeks while Kickstarter transmits the funds, and Scott can order the books, and send surveys to backers to get current e-mail addresses for the .PDF versions and mailing addresses for the physical books.
Panel 1
The Helio-Flyer still accelerating away from Sol. Which appears a goodly bit smaller than last time but still almost fills the height of the panel.
Caption: To maintain alertness through 29 hours of monotony, Nicole engages a number of distractions.
Panel 2
Inside the cockpit, Nicole is still lit only by her suit's lights. Translucent fields filled with glowing, arcane, quasi-mathematical inscriptions float about her head.
Caption: She reviews some articles on 'quantum vibremonics' which she had downloaded previously.
Panel 3
Same angle on Nicole but now she is in her cyber-form flying through space as if riding a chopper. Across one section of the starry background there's a wide rectangle filled with a scene containing the same characters as we saw in Strip 41.
Caption: Accessing the Sysnet, she downloads and 'views' the latest episodes of Doosh Goza Ouiselle, Art's My Folly, and Bizarro Neil.
Panel 4
Helio-Flyer zooms away.
Caption: As the hours wear on and she gets more desperate, she links into Ché Nannigan's What You Should Think soapbox program.
Nannigan (filtered): … that them dim damn elves think they can get away with every time every time they open their filthy pie-holes …
Nicole: {grrrrrrrrr}
Caption: The aggravation of such annoying noise helped maintain her edge.
