Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.
Kickstarter successful and closed [ May 19, 2026 ]
The Kickstarter campaign for Not-Safe.Space Chapter 3 concluded successfully on April 21, and Scott extended the time allowed for late pledges until May 19.
Books have been ordered from the printer and Scott will be spending the next week or so setting up and sending the PDF files to those who asked for them.
(There are still six of you who have not responded to the survey asking for e-mail and snail-mail addresses, he'll do the best he can.)

Nicole: I can't believe this. All this travel, all this work, and for nothing.
Murphy: Not quite nothing. Check your bank balance.

Nicole touches two fingers to her temple, and 'sees' her bank statement appearing before her.
Nicole: This is from over an hour ago, but …
Nicole: I don't believe it! I've been paid in full, PLUS a 50 percent bonus!
Nicole: But how?

Nicole listens as Murphy explains.
Murphy: Seamus deposited your payment last night, before Diamondi lowered the boom on him.
Murphy: I don't know if it was coincidence or he suspected something was up.
Murphy: Also, during the hearing I received some rather fabulous news, for me anyway.

Murphy: The attorney Seamus hired on Huoxing to get my inheritance back has reached a settlement with Tong Xie-Po and his thieving lawyer.
Murphy: So I now have, well, three-quarters of my inheritance restored, and Seamus has already transferred Master Po's shares in Project X to me.
Murphy: When we eventually get back to L-5 City I can set myself up in style.
