Quantum Vibe

A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Indiegogo Campaign Has Begun! [ Nov 10, 2024 ]

Quantum Vibe: This Means War (Part 3) 30 day Indiegogo campaign.

Second times a charm. The epic QUANTUM VIBE: This Means War story concludes with Part 3, and we require funds to publish a print volume. To sweeten the pot a bit, a 3 pack of the print and PDF copies of all three parts of the This Means War story is a new perk. The stickers and magnet add-ons for the Project for a Free Cosmos concept (explained in the story) are available. And one final incentive for the first 20 who get there first, an add-on for a Free Cosmos Project coaster (1 per perk).

The campaign starts today, Sunday, November 10th, and will conclude in 31 days.

Transcript For Strip 1038

Panel 1
The girls are standing at the 'whiteboard' where they assemble components for the probes..
Murphy: If' we're going to be doing extensive testing we really need to get a handle on that flash effect.
Nicole: OK, how about if we set an EM shield to automatically envelop the probe at a 10-meter radius just before and after each transit?
Panel 2
The girls are now at the workstation where Nicole had been doing her 'electric universe' calculations.
Caption: Four tendays later:
Murphy: What we've been calling 'delta-Hamids' seems to relate to displacement distance logarithmically.
Nicole: Uh-huh. And on a vector perpendicular-leftward of the main breach engine axis.
Murphy: Can we mount the engine on gimbals?
Panel 3
Girls are back on the sofa, resting after another recreation session.
Caption: Two more tendays later:
Murphy: All that's left is to start testing with a live passenger.
Nicole: Those rat embryos we thawed should be ready by now.
Nicole: Poor little mousies ...

Panel 4
Close two-shot of Nicole and Murphy. Nicole is looking a bit nauseated.
Murphy: Somehow I doubt the flash-transits will be uncomfortable for them.
Nicole: I'm not worried so much about the transits …
Nicole: I'm thinking about the vivisections we'll have to do after they come back.
