Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

UPDATE: There has been some strange glitch in the Kickstarter launch, so Scott is cancelling the campaign temporarily and will re-start as soon the cause of the problem can be determined and corrected.

Buford: What do you mean, 'No you're not'?
Nigel: It's too dangerous. I know some guys from my militia unit who would be perfect for t'is.

Focus on Nigel and Buford.
Buford: If it's too dangerous for me t'en it's too dangerous for you!
Nigel: I can't ask my joes to do somet'ing I'm not willing to do myself.
Panel 3
Nigel and Buford.
Buford: Then we can both go and you won't haf to ask any of t'em!
Nigel: But I luf you, Buford, and I can't bear t'e t'ought of you getting killed in some Terran hell-hole.

Nigel and Buford
Buford: And how do you t'ink I'd feel if somet'ing happened to you?
Nigel: I … look, be reasonable, Buford. It's always been the men taking the risks to defend t'eir lufed ones …
Buford: 'Defend t'eir lufed ones'?

Nigel and Buford.
Buford: T'is isn't about defending me or our families! It's about risking your life to settle a debt!
Buford: Well, I have t'at same debt to pay, buster, and you're not going wit'out me and t'at's final!
Panel 6
Pull back to show all four characters. Nigel is grim-faced. Buford has her arms crossed defiantly. Nicole and Murphy exchange glances.
Nigel: And just how do you intend to stop me from going?
Panel 7
Same scene, although now Nicole and Murphy are looking mildly surprised at Buford.
Buford: I can't stop you from going, but if you go wit'out me, I won't be here when you get back.
Panel 8
Cut to the cabin of the girls' runabout. Murphy and Nicole in front, Nigel and Buford in the back. Nigel looks frustrated, Buford looks victorious.
Buford: You guys will be glad I came along. I know how to kick ass and take names.
