Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1Triple-split panel – in the first part, Murphy's eyes glow red as she lifts her helmet off; in the second part, her whole head and shoulders are glowing red; in the third part, she begins to transform
No dialog.
Panel 2
Focus on Nicole and Li leaning against the wall, looking wide-eyed at Murphy. We only see a bit of her, in silhouette. A beastly arm reaches out and proffers the bag with Seamus' head to Nicole.
Murphy (filtered): Hold this for me.
Panel 3
Murphy has transformed into a raging, nightmarish demon-form, with four extra arms ending in white-hot cutting blades. She rounds the corner at high speed, dodging another laser blast as she races towards its source.
Murphy: SHRIIIIIIEEEEEEE!!!!
Panel 4
Nigel, Nicole and Li are pressed along the wall, listening to a cacophony of mayhem coming from around the corner.
SFX: AAIEE!! YAA!!! CRASH!! AAUGHH!!! EEEE!!! SMASH!!!
Panel 5
Nigel, Nicole and Li are still pressed along the wall, as the sounds grow softer
SFX (progressively softer): CRUNCH! UURKK! AAIEE! AAUGHH!
Panel 6
Close 3-shot on Nigel, Nicole and Li, as Nicole receives a thoughtsend from Murphy.
Murphy (OP, thoughtsend): Are you guys coming?
Panel 7
With Li in the lead, Nicole holding the bag and Nigel carrying Buford's body over his shoulder, the trio picks their way through a corridor filled with smashed machinery and body parts. Blood everywhere.
No dialog.
Panel 8
The trio finds Murphy collapsed on the ramp to their ship. She has reverted to humanoid form but her clothing is gone. More guard body parts are littered about.
Murphy: Nicole, take the helm. I ... need a recharge.
